WHAT WE OFFER

(Indoor Boarding)

Lumpy Lodge 1 accommodates 6 x spacious luxury 5 feet housing for singles and bonded pairs of rabbits & guinea pigs.  This Lodge is a traditional tongue & groove pent roof summerhouse with two large glazed front windows and half-glazed double doors allowing plenty of light in for all your rabbits and guinea pigs' past-times.  Fully ventilated with lighting and heating as needed.  Mosquito & Fly screen curtains will be operational during Flystrike Season for all rabbits and guinea pigs being housed indoors. 

Lumpy Lodge 2 accommodates 3 x spacious luxury 5 feet housing for single and bonded pairs of rabbit and guinea pigs. We also house guinea pigs in versatile ferplast units too.  As this area is more spacious we are able to utilise the inside and verrandah as a play area for animals which are not climatised to the outdoors totally. This large Georgian styled Lodge has fully-glazed double doors with lower four panes glazed with toughened glass as standard. The summerhouse depicts a Log Cabin Style feature with Canopy and includes 2’6” verandah for extra undercover protection.  Fully ventilated with lighting and heating as needed.  This Lodge is the living quarters for our Guinea Pig rescues and we therefore reserve the spacious accommodation available in this Lodge especially for Guinea Pigs so that their sweet & cheery socialization chatter can be interacted between them all.

Lumpy Lodge 2 includes  a 2'6" verandah which is not not feaured in picture.

Hickory House & Daisy Den are completely self-contained housing & has been introduced with families of pets in mind.  Suitably adequate accommodation for 2 or 3 rabbits living together as a family, bonded partners, or even a family of guinea pigs!!  Measuring 6'x4'x4' giving plenty of space to move around with integrated sleeping compartments which can be removed on weather permitting days and placed in their exercise run & incorporates a miniature ramp!  Carpet can be provided for rabbits that are used to being on carpet indoors.  Lighting is also integrated & heat pads for beds can be used during the cold spells. 

Hickory House & Daisy Den can also be used for pets that need to be separated for quarantine reasons, medication or nursing care. 

(Outdoor boarding)

Lumpy Lodge has adequate space for 4 duplex (2-storey) hutches for those pets that are climatised to living outdoors or is their owner's preference and we also have 3 luxury 5 feet single hutches outdoors.

Extremely safe environment at night & well away from Mr Fox because our outdoor hutches are all extremely secure with extra large padlocks on them.

Weather permitting daily exercise and play runs are available.  These are always used whenever the weather permits with an array of toys and tunnels for their fun and pleasure.  Although we are a family run small holiday home for your loved ones all pets receive daily exercise and in the busy seasons we rotate the pets in our runs so that they all have a few hours in their runs.

OPENING TIMES

We have to operate strict appointment time slots to ensure security at LUMPY LODGE.   We ask all our customers to adhere to their allotted time.  We may have to refuse anyone excessively late without prior notice.

ACCOMMODATION

We offer loving caring safe boarding with our hutches in our 5 feet luxury accommodation at LUMPY LODGE.  We also have new hutches especially for baby guinea pigs with integrated water bottles and room dividers if sharing is required.   We give TLC to all pets staying with us whether they are at home with us in our rescue sanctuary or simply staying with us for their holidays! as they are all treated as one of the family!

 Extremely safe environment day & night & well away from Mr Fox as the hutch doors are all padlocked each night and our Summer Houses are also locked at night with plenty of ventilation.

At the end of each holiday all hutches are thoroughly cleaned and 'animal friendly' disinfected so that smells & scent are eliminated from the hutches for a comfortable and happy holiday for the next guest.                                                                                                                         

FOOD & HYGIENE

LUMPY LODGE provides all the essential needs for a happy holiday bunny or piggie and all their needs are catered for.  These include fresh daily, hay or straw, water, minerals treats, fruit and vegetables. We do keep a small stock of selective dry foods such as Russel Rabbit, Gerty Guinea Pig, Chudleys Rabbit Royale and Supa Rabbit Excel.  However, in order to keep costs to a minimum and remain competitive with our tariff we would ask that owner's could opt for either providing their own special diet .  We can also provide a claw-clipping service for both rabbits & guinea pigs for a small fee. See our  Links Page to find out more about why we use top quality brands.  Essential daily cleaning of hutches &/or litter trays with fresh daily hay, straw &/or sawdust is always guaranteed and as already mentioned all accommodation is animal friendly disinfected between arrivals and collections.                                                                                                   

24/7 VET CARE

Around the clock care  will be received by your pet(s) so we would ask you that at the time of booking you are able to provide all the relevant information requested on our Booking Form & our Veterinary Authorisation Form.  This will help us ensure that your pet(s) receives top quality care & attention and should the unlikely event occur that he/she should need any treatment or become poorly from a condition (perhaps because they are an older pet with an age-related condition) your vet or our vet in Portslade or our Animal Hospital in nearby Worthing Grove Lodge can be on hand to deal with any concerns.

WEATHER

Indoor boarding facilities have the facilities of ventilating fans in HOT weather.  Because our weather in the UK is changeable during HOT periods we will do all we can to ensure that pets stay cool and do not suffer from heat stroke.  For pets that are boarding in outside facilities these will remain shaded and if runs are used at the coolest times of the day we will also use damp towels to lessen the effect of heat.

*Add £5-00 per week per pet for larger breeds or giant rabbits.  Availability for larger breeds or giant rabbits is restricted during Winter Term.

Christmas/New Year 2008/09  Public Holiday Days for Christmas Day & Boxing Day and News Year's Eve and New Year's Day will be charged at the daily tariff plus + 50% (including toys, party poppers, streamers and a hearty special dinner!!)
