Here at Lumpy Lodge we may not know how close death is?  looking at the quality of life if a guinea pig or rabbit becomes  terminally ill, becomes sick is a difficult decision & it never becomes any easier just because it will ultimately happen again for sure

When the bad days are more that the good days which are few, then is it time to say goodbye?

Euthanasia of our animals is only ever to be a last resort on the recommendation of our vet & due to medical reasons where the animal's quality of life is at a serious risk or where it is a serious health risk to other animals

To euthanize any pet is a very personal and heart-wrenching task to overcome & the grief & guilt that comes with the decision to let go and say goodbye affects us as deeply as it does everyone else especially when that day could be today?
